Came here on a Wednesday at noon and the restaurant is cute and small. The food is take-out only but they have some dinning tables available inside the restaurant. We ordered two two-item combo. We got the lo mein, fried rice, teriyaki chicken, black pepper chicken, coconut shrimp, and orange chicken. Overall, we enjoyed the food and it was very tasty. A solid 8/10

Portion sizes are generous - enough for left overs! The orange chicken was delicious - my daughter enjoyed it which says a lot from a picky eater these days :) Kung Pao Chicken was amazing - no left overs there and we also had the dumplings which were the largest I've ever had - not sure that makes them the best I've had the feeling was a bit understated but the accompanying sauce was the best I've had! Perfect spice and heat! The crab rangoon was crunchy and the filling was generous! Overall a great dinner experience :)

We loved it. Kung pow chicken, black pepper, chicken, coconut, shrimp, and orange chicken. All was good and hot and a good value for the money.

This place is a must for every trip in South Lake Tahoe. Every dish we purchased was spot on and the flavors were all different. Make sure to order ahead of time as this place is a local favorite and is always busy for a good reason. My group preferred the garlic pepper beef dish. Enjoy.

We were exhausted after 4 days of skiing and decided to order in one night. We all agreed on Chinese food and enter Jade Garden. This is definitely a takeout spot, we picked ours up since we didn't want to wait for delivery. They give you A LOT of food, which is good because it's not cheap to eat here. I really enjoyed the orange chicken and chowmein. I would definitely make this my go-to Chinese spot if I lived here

Amazing spot for some quick Chinese food! I come here every time I'm in Tahoe for affordable and yummy food that'll last me for 2-3 meals. It's $15 for a 3 item combo plate (not including the base of either white rice, fried rice, or veggie lo mein!), so cheap! Service is fast and friendly, and I love their lo mein! It tastes great and it's not too heavy on the stomach. I'll always recommend this spot for sure, make sure to stop by!

$13 for a dinner that can feed two in South Lake Tahoe? Only if one of the two is not Yelper Anson W. Rice/noodles plus three entrees for $13. Trays of Chinese food over steaming water. Entrees include teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, beef with broccoli, black pepper chicken, green beans with chicken, mushrooms with chicken, kung pao chicken, and fried shrimp (50 cents extra per entree). Meals served into a TV dinner like tray, with the noodles/rice in the main compartment, and entrees on the side compartments. The black pepper chicken which comes with black peppers over chicken, mixed in with onions and bell peppers. Tasty enough, but almost as much vegetables as meat. The beef with broccoli is almost tasteless, very bland, but decent quality of beef outnumbered by the broccoli. The teriyaki chicken is a winner, with a sizeable amount of white chicken cooked in teriyaki sauce, but not overwhelmed with sauce. The noodles have a fair amount of cabbage and onions mixed in, somewhat bland and greasy, and do better with the teriyaki chicken mixed in. Didn't try the kung pao chicken, as didn't see any red chilis to give it spice. Next time might try the fried shrimp, as only 50 cents more, and the orange chicken, which is all meat without the cheaper vegetables. Generous amount of food, as it should be for $13. After all Panda Express 3.5 miles away has rice/noodles plus three entrees for $9.60, but much smaller portions, which I can eat all by myself. Wok On Express in Sunnyvale has rice/noodles plus three entrees and soup for $13.50, with sky high rents and labor costs compared to South Lake Tahoe. And the portion sizes are large and comparable to Jade Garden. Before the pandemic, Jade Garden had soup added to the combination meals. No more soup. Mother of all potholes in the front of the restaurant. They can sell $13 dinners for two by forgoing maintenance on the parking lot. You may save money now on Chinese food here, but come here often enough, and you will need work on your vehicle suspension, struts, ball bearing joints, shock absorbers, tire rims, and exhaust mufflers in the future.
